Our mission

The K-16 Collaborative Border Region Talent Pipeline is a team of education, workforce, economic development and industry stakeholders committed to increasing access to high-wage, high-demand careers in business, computing, engineering, education and healthcare for diverse and underrepresented local talent in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Our partners

  • Help to build a diverse local talent pipeline for your company’s workforce needs;
  • Host college interns at no cost to your business;
  • Support educators in updating their programs to meet future industry needs


  • Upgrade and align programs to industry standards and across segments;
  • Participate in communities of practice focused on pathways, dual enrollment, DEI and student supports;
  • Qualify your programs to become Verified Programs by industry;
  • Paid student internships in selected pathways


  • Support to implement the California College Guidance Initiative;
  • Upgrade and align programs across segments, embedding equity-minded teaching practices and WBL;
  • Participate in communities of practice;
  • Improve student retention and success through inclusive supports and high-tech, high-touch advising;
  • Increase A-G and Early College Credit opportunities
