Program Highlights

• Earn $20/hour for up to 240 hours of in-person work experience;

  • 200 hours at a K-12 school site;

  • 40 hours of training, onboarding, and ongoing support;

• Training & onboarding in January 2025; Work with students during the Spring 2025 semester;

• Opportunities available at elementary, middle and high school sites across San Diego and Imperial counties;

• Launch your career in teaching and make valuable connections with K-12 educators!

Do you quality?

1. Be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.

2. Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate course of study at a public community college or university in San Diego or Imperial county;

3. Have completed two semesters or three quarters of undergraduate / post-secondary education;
   
   

4. Complete the work experience application;

   • Provide an introductory video (2 minutes) or written statement (200 – 300 words); 

     • Tell us about yourself and why you are interested in a career in education.

5. Attach PDF copies of the following:

   • Updated resume 

   • Unofficial transcript(s)

   • Supplementary materials (if requested).
