Program Highlights
Various Positions Available
- Academic Tutor
- Instructional Assistant
- Before/After School Care
Earn $20/hr. for up to 240 hours
- 220 hours at a K-12 school site of hands-on work with K-12 students
- Plus approx. 20 hours of training, onboarding, and ongoing support

Build strong, positive relationships with students based on trust, respect, and understanding.
In order to be eligible to participate in this program, applicants MUST:
- Be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
- Have completed at least two semesters or three quarters of post-secondary course work at participating public community colleges or universities in San Diego or Imperial county
- Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Have not participated in a K-16 Collaborative internship/work experience program before
- Agree to have your application information shared with your college and Local Educational Agencies
- If selected, be willing to undergo and successfully clear a LiveScan background check and Tuberculosis (TB) screening
Application Details:
- The application will take approximately 1 hour or more to complete.
- You will be asked to upload PDF versions of your general resume, unofficial transcript(s), and to either provide a link to a video (2 min. or less) or written statement. Prompt: Tell us about yourself and why you want to work in education.
- You will also be provided a link to a job board website where you are required to review and apply for up to 5 positions at the school sites that you’re interested in.
