Details about the 2026 program:
The internship program called Advancing San Diego (ASD), led by the San Diego Regional EDC, will launch the student internship application on March 2nd. Verified Programs at the colleges will be notified and asked to share the application portal with their students.
In the meantime, students can sign up for The Lead (click “I’m looking for early-career jobs”) to explore current job and internship opportunities. The application launch will also be announced in the newsletter, along with a link to the student application portal.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled (within the last year) in a VERIFIED PROGRAM at your college * scroll down to review the VERIFIED PROGRAMS in business, computing, and engineering. You must be enrolled in a verified program.
- The program is listed on your Ed Plan (community college), it is your declared major (university), or you are enrolled in the certificate program (not-for- credit)
- Be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
NOTE: Other criteria may apply, depending on your college.
An example can include: Successfully complete (with a B or better) at least two content specific courses (or the single course if it was a not-for-credit program) and/or an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
